A new multi-table sit-n-go, the 180 man tournament is a perfect opportunity for players to play tournament poker without sitting for hours upon hours. These multi-table tournaments have very valuable cash outs for the final table, and the range of buy-ins allows a variety of players with all different bankrolls to play in them.

This basic strategy will give you a basis of 180 man play, and how most players react to the blinds changing and different steps as the tournament progresses. Many players do not take the proper steps to increase aggressiveness as blinds and antes rise, and this is a major factor in these small tournaments.

Early Stages

The beginning of the tournament should usually consist of a fairly tight-aggressive play, in which the only hands you come to play aggressively are valuable, but you play them aggressively. Starting chips are 1500, and with the blinds beginning at 10/20 and raising only every 15 minutes, there is no reason to be too anxious in the early stage. Sit back and wait for your opportunity to double through a solid hand, i.e. flopping a set and playing it through, a flush, straight or better.

At these early stages in the game there is no reason to get your money in on a coin-flip pre-flop. Stick to solid post flop hands that will assure a large pot, and react accordingly to players. Another valuable tendency is to see more flops while the blinds are remaining fairly low. Do not call more raises pre-flop, but rather more blinds simply to flop large hands and develop a nice sized stack early on.

Mid-Way Play

As the blinds begin to progress and play becomes much more sporadic, it is smart to become much more tight-aggressive. Blinds will eventually, for most players, become a major factor in all-in play, unless you are successful enough to have a very large stack that blinds do not affect.

If your stack ever falls to below around 8 or 9 times the big blind, usually by this point the blinds have exceeded 200/400, your best move is the shoving your entire stack pre-flop. Most players overlook the antes as well as the blinds, and these together can add up to a third of your stack simply by taking them down if everyone else folds. Accumulating blinds and antes becomes as important as getting involved with a major hand in this stage of the tournament.

At this stage limping pre-flop is highly unlikely and position plays a major role. Tend to play only higher pairs above 77 in early position and successfully less valuable hands down the table. Come in for just over 3x the big blind.

Final Table Play

If you have played well enough to reach the final table, your strategy has obviously worked so far. Entering the final table with anything over 30,000 will be above average and leave with you with a good amount of room to play pots and raises. Usually the blinds will be around 500/1000, and a stack below 10,000 should be all-in for a pre-flop raise whenever possible. Over 10,000 gives you the option to make a 3x pre-flop raise but nearly commits you to the pot if you are re-raised, especially when some stacks may be well over 50,000. Play usually will slow a major amount when the final table is reached so do not rush into pots no matter what your stack is. However, if you are sitting on a decent stack, again, the blinds and antes will add up to a substantial amount, and stealing them once or twice a round will build your stack quickly.

There’s no point in playing poker unless you win. Who wants to be a losing poker player? Discover how to become a winner with 6 easy tips to win at poker.

Learn Your Odds

You must do your homework and discover what pot and implied odds are. Poker is a game of probabilities and chance. All that matters is the cards. If you don’t have a feel for the probabilities then you cannot make any logical decisions.

All your decisions will be based on gut feel and emotion and you will always lose money.

Constantly Improve Yourself

I highly suggest hitting the books and reading up on as much about poker as possible. Books like Doyle Brunson’s Super System revolutionised the world of poker because pros were sharing their tips based on years of trial and error.

You don’t need to go through these same wars. There are so many great books and websites out there so use them or prepare to play the 2 cent tables for the rest of your life.

Check Your Hand Histories

There’s a reason why players demanded hand histories from the poker rooms and that’s because the best of them will look back at hands they lost and figure out why. Once they know why, they can internalize this information and they won’t make the same mistake twice.

If you never look back at all then you will continue to make the same mistakes over and over again and blame them on bad luck.

Learn To Play Different Styles

The best poker players are unpredictable. Do not become “pigeon-holed” as a particular “type” of player. Most players agree that it is best to be a tight-aggressive player but don’t become too predictable.

The minute that other players figure you out then they can basically read your cards without seeing them and you are rumbled. Time to leave the table.

Manage Your Bankroll

Learn to manage your bankroll effectively. Do not get suckered into playing too much money because you “feel” that you are on to a winner. Also, when the odds favour it, put down more money. When the odds don’t favour it, put down less money.

Risk and reward should go hand in hand.

Learn From The Pros

As well as reading their books you can these days also check out how the pros play by watching them on television. Even better, some of the high ticket tournaments can be viewed live from online poker rooms as they play. This is another way of learning a hell of a lot about how the pros play and how you can improve your own game.

Poker bankroll management is one of the master poker tips that one should learn before they learn anything else about poker. Poker is a game of gamble and without a set high limit for losing and a decided bankroll for a certain period of playing the betting practice can ruin one to bankruptcy.

There are many ideas and poker tips available in plenty to calculate a proper poker bankroll for any player playing poker games for limit and no limit games. The bankroll should be allotted based on the limit the player is likely to play. There is going to be no point in allotting a poor bankroll for a high roller, similarly there is any point in having a high bankroll for a limit player. Per a number of poker tips the bankroll should be allotted based on the high limit of low limit game that the player plays and also taking in to consideration the average number of tournaments or ring games that the player will be playing.

The answer to the amount of bankroll for a player per poker tips should be closely related to the life style and real wealth and the job prospects of a player. A million dollar man will not feel serious about a $1000 bankroll because he will least be bothered about losing it. Whereas another normal man will feel that even a $100 I slot of money for poker. Therefore the financial background of the player should be taken in to consideration; however, a good player is serious about even a single dollar he invests in poker.

Per poker tips if a player is not having any other job and is playing professionally then they need to have their bankroll and some solid assets set aside for their living. In many cases if the living expenses are related to poker winning there can be fluctuations in playing style when there is need for money crunches and can cause a dwindle in bankroll discipline; however, there are some players that play well with money crunches for their personal needs. The player should delineate their own control lines in making their play rather than depending on just poker tips. All poker tips should be applied and modified per real time situations.

The worst thing that can happen with bankroll ideas is that a layer will be forced out of action in the most favorable lay due to lack of bankroll limits. This is the worst thing that can happen to any player and the player will have to set a bankroll cross limit to play in such situations. However, this cross limit should not be used always.

If you think that online poker won’t get you near the big games, you’re dead wrong. Aim for the big league. Starting with free poker bets can get you to popular tournaments. These tips will help you get to the top of the heap.

From Online Casinos to the Big Leagues

From free poker bets in the area of $35 to $250, you might be going the way of Jerry Yang who made it to the 2007 World Poker Series. The cash blowout contested by nine players was a staggering $8.5 million. So don’t snub the opportunities you can get from online casinos because the road to millions starts here.

To begin the journey to the big time, size up the online casinos that offer free poker bets; they must also provide you the prospect to star in championship events and the chance to compete for 11 event bracelets with guaranteed prizes in the millions of dollars. Not bad, if you are starting out to wet your whistle.

Knowing what you want from online casinos can prepare you to vie for the big stakes. Have a fill of Texas Hold ‘Em, Three Card Poker, Omaha, 7 Card Stud, and 5 Card Stud until you become the envy of poker pros. Here’s how to choose the online casino to start you right:

* Honors multiple currencies

* Protects your information

* Offers sign-up bonuses and incentives

* Provides technical support

* Gives customers the chance to play for free

Choosing a site is complicated than choosing a mate, so be doubly wary of sites that do not have the professional look and feel, does not have a variety of game selections, and limit currency options.

Take the time to digest the terms and conditions of the different online casinos until you have found one that won’t put you through the wringer and won’t think twice about giving you a liberal dose of free poker bets.

Once you’ve decided on the online casino or poker site, get ready with your financial details. But don’t start betting when you get your free poker bets. Every move you make should be carefully calculated, and when everything is in place, start placing you bets and hopefully start winning. Don’t get carried away, though, with placing your bets just because they are for free - it’s money, too.

Get Help and Sound Advice

When playing online poker for the first time, get advice or tips from others who have been on the gaming circuit ahead of you. A second opinion before making any crucial decision can minimize risking your hard-earned money.

However, it is also necessary that you yourself have some knowledge about online poker and be aware of what you are getting into. You’re putting up money, and you may win or lose. That’s what gaming is all about. It is also about instinct and good luck.

There are plenty of websites on the Internet that offer advice or tips on how to best utilize your free poker bets. You can even interact with other online poker enthusiasts online and share with them your opinions about the game.

But don’t jump to the conclusion that because there are free poker bets, you’ll not need funding for most of the games and the tournaments. To become the best of the best, you need exposure to the adrenalin pumping competitions that will have you seesawing between agony and ecstasy. But then, that is the way to the big time.

Grab those free bets, free poker bets, and free casino bets There’s nothing like these freebies to start your smart money moves.

Most people play texas holdem, especially free online texas holdem. When they play, no one truly understands the power of your texas holdem hands that are used as lethal weapons for cash games. Texas holdem free online games, especially play money cash games are played far differently than real money cash games. My best advice is to play texas holdem for real money especially play texas holdem online. Here is what you need to do. The best thing you can possibly do is deposit around $50.00. That is the minimum deposit on most sites, especially the large ones like full tilt poker and ultimate bet. When you deposit $50.00 you need to play cautiously and start out at the .05/.10 blind level. If you do not know how to play texas holdem I suggest you learn quick. It is one of the greatest games online to play, especially for a large profit and living. At the .05/.10 level the minimum buy in is $2.00 and the players at this level are absolutely horrible.

The key at the .5/.10 level is the following:

1. HAVE PATIENCE-There is no need to show bluffs, play like a maniac, etc. They key is just having patience and waiting for the right hands. At this level there is no need to be fancy. The best advice I can offer you is to wait for a AA, KK, QQ, AK, AQ and make your move. Players at this level will call an all in fast even though they may only have a marginal hand. I see it EVERYDAY, all day. Just go look at a .5/.10 table. Believe it or not, there are some pots that get over 30 bucks even at these types of stakes. The key to winning cash games is simple. You need to develop a texas holdem strategy and get paid off from texas holdem poker sets.

2. Texas Holdem Poker Set- This is by far the deadliest hand in poker and can win you or cost you a huge amount of your bankroll. You can see a flush and straight on the board and know to get out. A Poker set? You can’t see this on the board and either can your opponent. That is why you will get paid from a texas holdem poker set.

Having patience in texas holdem poker games online will be a key to your success. The best thing about playing cash games online is the fact that you can multi-table as many poker games as you want at one time. Playing texas holdem in person will only allow you to play 1 game at a time. Not only that you will waste all your money traveling to a casino dropping money for gas at almost 4 dollars a gallon! A plane ticket may cost you 400 bucks! It is just wise to play in the comfort of your own home. I wish you the best of luck at the poker tables and the key to being successful is having patience.

As poker is very popular today and a favorite game to play among Americans, one may ask, if there really is a sure way to win at poker. These tactics have worked very well offline, but you can include most of them into your online poker strategy.

Before starting to play the game, keep in mind these simple suggestions:

Inspect the site. Make sure that it is authentic. Nothing will crush your online poker strategy faster than signing up with a scam poker site. Read the terms and conditions of the site. Check the maximum payouts and the minimum bets.

Allocate a budget for the day. That budget will determine how much you are willing to lose or to win in the game. Stick to the limit.

Do not gamble if you can not afford to lose. Practice playing the game. Familiarize yourself with the game first before you play for real money. At the table, here are some warnings that you should always remember:

If you do make a big win, do not be greedy, stop. Making a big win and gambling it all over again is a big sign of greediness. A good online poker strategy is to stop after a big win, pocket whatever you’ve invested, and only play with your winnings. That way you walk away when your finished without losing anything from when you came.

In poker, overall winnings are what count most. If you are losing, or have already lost your allotted money for the day, don%u2019t try to win your losses back. You won’t. Stop. Tomorrow is another day.

Drinking alcohol is a big no no at poker time. It can seriously affect your judgment. So stay away from it while on the game. Never take side bets. Usually these are just gimmicks, so that more money will go to the casino. Never gamble your hard earned money unless you are very much ready to lose it.

While in the game, here are some important ideas to think about in your online poker strategy:

Gaze at your opponent’s eye. Survey all their moves. Observe them, to better know them. This way, you will fear them less. This way, you will know when they are bluffing or not.

Play in silence. Have that conversation with yourself as well as think deep to your opponents actions. Concentrate.

Base your decisions on what the reality is. See all movements as they are. Do not fear, instead, be calm and assess their moves accordingly.

Don’t take it personally. At the poker table, it is always unavoidable that your opponent can irritate you. Never give in to such responses. Stay within the good game. Be cool and objective. This is a bluffing game. But do keep in mind that just because your opponent has bluffed earlier, it does not mean that he does all the time. Think tight. Review each move.

Know when to stop. Is the hand that you are raising now the hand you folded a while ago? This is a sign that you should go home.

Play to enjoy. Do not play if you are sad, bored or tired. If you can’t play having enjoyment as your goal, then don’t play at all! The best online poker strategy is to always have fun. That keeps you in control!

Discover how to improve your odds with an online poker strategy or win betting a free roulette strategy

Since you are banking how good your hand is versus the people that you are playing against it’s important to know the player types. This is some good knowledge that you can store away after you identified the different types as you can see the cards they have and how they usually play. The professionals sit down and figure this out fairly quickly but any knowledge you can pick up in this area will improve your game a ton so lets go over the different types of players.

The Caller

This player is one of the worst types and is called the “fish”. His style is very simple he does what his name implies he calls. The selection of hands that he plays is very poor and will usually call all the way to the end. Usually they play every hand in every circumstance they don’t have the usual discipline of a good poker player. This is a player that you will make the most money from. When you play every hand its difficult to win in the end actually impossible if you play long enough because they currently have the odds working against them. They will have a night where they keep catching cards and getting lucky but they are few and far between. Its hard to figure what hand they usually have since they play them all but if you play your hand with good selection in the long run you will smoke them. When they do raise its predictable to see what they have after you have identified this type of player. If the raise before the preflop hey the usually have a good hand (AA, KK, QQ, JJ, etc.) Now if you see that they are raising quite a bit with about any hand that is dealt to them you may have found the next category of player.

Loose Aggressive

This player is like the calling station but just the complete opposite. This players likes to raise a lot and raise often. They also have poor hand selection and raise on hands that they should not for (like A5 offsuit, Q9s, etc). These players are very easy to spot as well. A person is not going to catch cards all day so if they raise 3 hands in a row chances are they are not all great hands. When you have a couple sitting down at the table the pots can get big quick so there are a couple pointers you want to stick to and be careful. When they raise you can bank on them not having AA all the time so you can win against them with hands that you normally would not. If they re raise you and you have a solid hand trying to isolate this player is not a bad strategy but an important point to remember if they continue to re raise it does not mean they are not going to catch a good hand every now and then. Some you will notice are Maniacs and they will go crazy before the flop then tighten up some. Last but not least don’t let them intimidate you because they like to raise if you have a strong hand make them play you.

The Rock Solid:

This player is the one who is extremely discipline with his hand selection and only plays the top premium hands. He will fold quite a bit sometimes you wonder if he is going to play at all. When they come in they raise and this is not the best strategy either. Its important to have strong selection of course and you should do this too, but if you are at a table with 7 people and you have an AA you can still get beat. With being too conservative it can work against them. The other players at the more advanced levels will be able to read this type of player well and if they all know your style that is bad news for you. Try to stay of the Rock Solids way if you can because they do pick good hands to play. The problem is they don’t play enough hands to get ahead of the game and get enough chips in their favor. You will see this type of player at the lower levels because they don’t rise up very easily at all.

The Weak Tight:

This type of player is very knowledgeable about the game and has done his homework (like you are doing now). He has skills that he will bring to the table and win some hands and go home a winner from time to time. There is one exception to him and that is he is a little scared. You will notice this when someone moves up they slide into this category. These players sit down and with the loose aggressive types since you fear them and a lot of times the weak tight players get bullied around at the tables folding hands that would of won. You should not be relying on any particular system or book and remember that poker is all situational adapting to the different players. Its important to gain experience and let that shape you into a great player. These players will not try to bluff you at all and instead of playing his hand selection based on the table he is waiting for the good cards. If you are playing this type and something messes up your hand this might be a good time to bluff. These weak tight players are big believers they get bluffed easily if you are playing by general rules and playing like you just caught the card.

Tight Aggressive:

This is the goal that you should strive to become. These are the players at the top of the Texas Holdem food chain and usually sit with the large stacks at the final table. This player is the strong investor and the sniper of the poker world. He/she has the ability to adapt to different players and different situations on a dime. When they play they play with the utmost confident to back their bank roll and this makes them one tough opponent. To recognize this type of player is you will see a player who doesn’t play many cards but when they do they dominate the table. The use their position at the table to get in on some weaker hands when the odds favor it. They don’t hesitate to fold deep into a hand when they know they are beat (other players get trapped in). The best advice is to play your very good hands against them and hope to break even to be honest you will not run into many of these players they work their way up quick to the big tables. So at low limit tables you will not see this type much.

Card Value
Start by familiarizing yourself with the order of card values. The card with the lowest value is 2 and this goes all the way up till you reach the suits. Aces are the cards with the highest value.

Types of Hands
The next thing to familiarize yourself with is the different card combinations you make, often referred to as hands. A single pair of cards is the easiest to make, but it also ranks the lowest in the hierarchy. Next in line would be two pairs, followed by having three of a kind.

The lowest five-card-hand would be a Straight. This is composed of 5 unsuited cards of consecutive value, such as 9, 10, J, Q, K. A Flush is higher than a Straight, and it’s composed of 5 cards of the same suit. A Full House is composed of a pair and three of a kind. Four of a Kind is the third highest hand you can have. Next would be a Straight Flush, which is simply a combination of two hands. And finally, you get the Royal Flush - this is composed of the cards A, K, Q, J, 10 of the same suit.

Judging Hands
If you and your opponent/s are holding the same hand, the one with the higher value or suit of cards wins.

Card Exchange
In 5 Card Draw, players are allowed to exchange their cards even after the first betting round. How many cards they’ll be able to exchange will, however, depend on the playing rules predetermined in your table. Of course, you also have the option of not exchanging your cards, and this is referred to as “staying”.

When a player opts to have his cards exchanged, he can get the same number of cards from the deck.

Placing Your Ante
5 Card Draw starts with each player placing his ante or bet into the pot; antes are simply the initial bets made by the players on the table.

Dealing of Cards
Unlike other poker variants, 5 Card Draw allows players to have five cards each in their hand.

Betting Rounds
Each player is allowed to bet or pass. When the round is completed, the cards should then be gathered from the players. After this, players will be asked to place their antes again into the pot.

Winning
The rounds will continue on until all players had either exchanged their hands or have chosen to stay. When the rounds had been completed, each player will then be asked to reveal his hand. The player with the best hand wins the pot.

See? Didn’t we tell you it was easy to play 5 Card Draw?

When it comes to No Limit Texas Hold’em, your bread and butter is going to come when you make a set on the flop. This is when you hold a pair in your hand, and make three of a kind on the flop. An example would be if you held 88 for your hole cards, and the flop came down 6-8-Queen. Now, like I said before this is where you’ll make most of your money playing poker, so you need to know how to maximize your profit in these situations. This article will give you all the moves you need to really extract the most chips.

The first variable that will affect your play is your position. If you’re out of position, meaning that you act first, I suggest that you fire out a bet that is between ½ the size of the pot to the full size of the pot. The reason to do this is because if you make that bet and your opponent has a hand or a draw, he’ll continue on with his hand, and the pot will grow. However, if you had checked to attempt a check raise, he probably would have checked behind you seeing as how his hand is only mediocre.

Another variable that comes into play here is the preflop action. If you made a raise preflop, then made your set, you should definitely fire out a bet here to avoid players getting scared off. The reason they’d get scared is because since you were the preflop raiser you’re supposed to continue your aggression on the flop, and if you don’t it is a hint that you’re holding a monster.

In another case, if someone else made the preflop raise, you may consider checking or betting out. If you were out of position against a tight aggressive player who raised preflop, I’d still fire out a bet because it is likely he will raise you, and then you can get all your chips in. This will make you much more money then checking to him, then raising, because in that scenario he will fold and you’ll only get one bet.

One time when you may want to check your set post flop is when you’re playing against an extremely aggressive player. Since he’s known to bluff at pots and make very aggressive plays, the best move is to simply let him bet his chips off by check/calling him, then putting in a small raise on the river.

Playing sets is where you’ll make all your money in Internet Poker, so it’s very important that you extract the most money when you make the set. The chances of flopping a set with a pocket pair is only 7:1, so make sure you take advantage when you do make the hand. The above article is all the poker strategy you need.

When you reach the final table of a tournament, this is when experience and skill really comes into play. As you play the bubble and break into the money, there’s a large amount of blind stealing and crafty play that is used simply because stacks are so small, but once you get to the final table you’ll be able to play real poker, because your stack will be larger, and blinds don’t raise as quickly. This article will tell you how to win it all once you get heads up.

The reason winning is so important is because of the way the prize structure is set up. At most online poker sites, the tournament prize structure is extremely top heavy. This means that the 1st place prize is significantly larger than the 2nd place prize, even though both players outlasted the rest of the field. This prize difference is what makes heads up poker so important in being a winning tournament player.

The main points that are important to consider in heads up poker are stack size, position, and relative hand strength. We’ll go over all three. The first one we’ll discuss is stack size.

Stack size in heads up play is almost as important as your cards. The reason for this is that the small stack is facing elimination in every hand they play, but the large stack has the ability to take risks to knock the other player out without risking his entire stack. What this means as far as your strategy goes is that as the small stack you need to make stands, because the big stack will bluff you out of pots and wears your stack down. And also, as the big stack you need to be constantly pressuring the small stack, and don’t be afraid to get him all in to take a chance at winning it all.

Now, we’ll talk about position. This is the biggest factor that makes heads up play so aggressive. There are only two options here, you’re in position or you’re out of position. When you’re in position you should be making more bluffs, steals, and raises, and when you’re out of position you’ll have to concede your weak hands more often because you have to act first.

Finally, we’ll discuss relative hand strength. When you’re playing a 9 handed table, you’ll only be making bets and raises with your best hands (high pocket pairs, and made hands on the flop). However, when you’re heads up you’re only facing one man, so its likely that he has nothing either. What this means is that a 67 suited or a hand like JQ is worth much more, so you should be raising preflop with it. Also, bottom pair on the flop, or a gutshot draw is worth a bet, because you’re likely to win the pot.
