It’s very true that bingo is game of chance or luck; it’s played with randomly drawn numbers. The caller draws number from the pot and calls out number to the players, players match drawn number with the numbers they have with them.

The paper sheet used to mark number is pre-printed on 5X5 matrices, which is referred as card.

The first person who achieves specified pattern from the drawn number has to call out “Bingo” loud, which alerts other players and caller of a possible win. The win is checked very accurately for the number pattern and the markings before officially announcing the winner.

Since its invention in 1929, Bingo played now days has evolved into multiple variations.

Today bingo players don’t have to use cardboards and papers to play bingo as the digital versions of bingo are becoming very popular. Players can now play their favourite bingo games right from their home no need to visit “Bingo Halls”.

There are many online portals which enable multiple players to play bingo online, sign-ups are required to play online bingo as bingo is classified as gambling and restricts minors from playing online depending on the jurisdictions of their residing state.

Considering the popularity of Bingo many of the online portals give out free bonus, attractive jackpot prizes and many more attractive freebies to attract users to join their portal. While playing online, players should authenticate the portal before sign up.

Some of the portals are really good and legal but players can also come across some of the illegal and fraud portals.

You can check out BingoCams for fare play and exciting gaming options.

Started as charity game now turned into $billion gambling business. Responsible gaming recommended!

Nowadays the trick to online poker is not about playing the best, but instead it’s now about playing at the best and most profitable tables. But how do you find these profitable sites and tables? The first tip is to play during peak times. This is the time when people come home from work and relax in the evening by playing poker. Another thing about online poker is multi-tabling. Playing multiple tables at once is the best thing about playing online. This is the reason why there are so many grinders at the big sites who play tons of tables at once. They make a slight profit on each one, but it all adds up to a big profit. But how do you get to this stage and how many tables should you play at the same time? The first thing to remember is that you should only multi-table if you are a winning player.

Online poker is much more profitable than live poker. The rake percentages of online poker sites are less than that of live brick and mortar casino poker. Typically the casino rake is about 10% and that doesn’t even include tipping. Online poker is around 5%, so about half the rake of a real casino. It gets even better with deposit bonuses, rake back and loyalty rewards, you will end up paying even less rake.

The best thing about online poker is the tournaments. Tournament poker is different to cash game poker. Play conservatively at first when the blinds are small compared to the stacks. Be more aggressive later when the blinds increase. Single table Sit n Go’s are becoming increasingly popular. These are small tournaments with 9 or 10 tables with the top 3 places being paid. Just like larger tournaments, be tight at first and wait till there are 4 or 5 players left.

Heads up poker is a very fun variation and is quite profitable. In fact the best players in the world often play this form the game almost exclusively. The thing to understand about heads up poker is that the person who is the most aggressive will often win. This is because you are going to miss the flop more often than not. You can’t wait for a decent hand because they are so rare. Often you will find ace high wins the pot and a stack of chips. I have improved my full ring game by playing heads up poker. It teached you aggressive and what to do when you come up against one player.

Will online poker return to the United States? The question is not will it return, but when and where? In 2003 amateur Chris Moneymaker won the World Series of Poker and started the explosion of online poker. In 2006 George W. Bush signed into law the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA). This did not make it illegal to gamble online, it made it illegal for poker or gambling websites to process transactions through financial institutions.

On April 15 2011, the day that has become known to the poker community as Black Friday, owners of Full Tilt Poker, Poker Stars and Absolute Poker were indicted for violating the UIGEA. All but a few small sites stopped offering internet poker to Americans.

Poker is not a game of chance. Although there is luck involved, there is also a significant amount of skill involved. Decisions must be made based on the information at hand, and thus winning a hand of poker is based on skill and luck combined. This is the basis of argument that poker should not be included with games of chance.

Recently, the Department of Justice seemed to agree. The have stated the Interstate Wire Act of 1961 does NOT include poker and only refers to sports betting.. This gives states the right to legalize a wide range of games for the internet without violating the wire act.

Nevada regulators have adopted a set of poker rules and begun accepting applications for intrastate online poker. Nevada will oversee an intrastate system that will allow it’s residents and visitors to play online poker.

Rep. Joe Barton’s (R- Texas) mission is consumer protection. His bill, Internet Gambling Prohibition, Poker Consumer Protection, and Strengthening UIGEA Act of 2011 (H.R. 2366) will create an interstate licensing program for online poker sites. States that do not want to participate can opt out. Although other attempts at legislation have failed Barton’s bill has bi partison support.

The Poker Players Alliance has been fighting for Americans right to play poker and encourages anyone who agrees to let their elected officials know.

The black out of internet poker has been viewed by many Americans as a loss of freedom that has been compared to prohibition. The good news is it has allowed lawmakers to adopt policies which will regulate online poker. Lawmakers are working hard to hammer out legislation that will protect Americans from cheating and theft. Once we get through all of this it will be nice to know that I can legally sign on to the site of my choice and know that I am playing a fair game and that my funds are protected

Take action to protect our right to play poker. Send your elected officials an email letting them know how you feel.

Whether you play poker live or online, tournament or cash formats, for fun or for thousands of dollars – bluffing is a vitally important part of a balanced strategy. Look at it this way, if you never bluff, then it will be obvious to your opponents that a bet means you have a strong hand. If you always bluff you will find observant opponents calling you down ‘light’ and taking your chips away very quickly.

This article covers 5 great ways you can implement now to improve the success rate of your bluffs.

#1 – Avoid Buffing The Calling Stations

It is a fact of life in poker that some players just hate to fold. They call with anything pre-flop, with any hand or draw on the flop… and build big pots with hands which seem far too weak to play at all! If you are constantly trying to push one of these players out of the pot with bets, you are not actually bluffing – you are just giving chips away. Now, some of these players will fold the flop if they completely miss… however if you meet any resistance at all then stop bluffing – you can always wait for a hand and value-bet these players instead!

#2 – Make Sure You Are Not Obviously Playing ‘Backwards’.

Some players go ‘backwards’ with their play to an extreme and very obvious degree. By betting big and bold when you are weak and betting small or checking (perhaps trying for a check-raise) when you are strong, you give the advantage to any opponent who sees what you are up to. After all, in poker you want to get the chips in when you are ahead. Varying your play is important, however those players who always check when strong will find their big bluffs snapped off too often for them to be profitable.

#3 – Bluffing The Right Flop Texture

When a flop comes down with suited or connected cards, several of your opponents may call with draws to the various flushes and straights possible by the end. If you bet as a bluff and are called, you will often not know whether your opponents have a hand or a draw… making your next move unclear. Flops with a ‘dry’ texture are far better for bluffing, for example 2-7-Queen has only 1 high card and no 1-card straights – making it less likely someone will stick around if they missed the flop completely.

#4 – Make Sure Your Bluff Tells A Story

If it looks like you are drawing to a flush, which does not come in by the river, your bluff to try and save the hand will often get called. Since your play early in the hand, calling pre-flop and checking the flop / turn and your river bet did not match – your opponents are suspicious. This is just one example of your bets telling a consistent story, a key factor in successful bluffing. For example if you always raise with your ace-x hands pre-flop, it is hard to convince your opponents you hit the ace high flop those times you just checked or called!

#5 – Make Sure The Stacks Are The Right Sizes

Bluffing will often backfire when you play against very big or very small stacks in a tournament situation. The small stack might call out of sheer desperation, while the big stack might look you up with a variety of holdings – since the damage to their chances is limited if they are wrong. One more situation to watch for is when you raise a smaller stack (12 times the blind is a classic example) and someone re-raises all in. If you are getting odds of 2-to-1 or better then you can profitably call with many hands. This means you need to avoid bluffing in situations where this might happen when your stack is relatively small – fold or shove all in instead!

One form of bluffing which you need to get right to profit from poker in today’s environment is the contination bet.

Cash games are arguably the best, most consistent method of making an online profit from poker. These 4 tips will give you the edge at the poker table, allowing you to win cash from poker players who are just ‘playing casually’. These tips are aimed at people looking to make money at the micro to low blind level tables (blinds lower than one dollar / pound).

1. Play tight! The first tip requires an exclamation mark, which must mean it’s important! Cash games have no incremental blind structure, meaning whatever you pay for your first blind is what you’ll be playing for the duration of your stay at that table (unlike poker tournaments where the blind levels increase). This means that you can just fold your trash hands over and over, waiting to catch a big hand and double up. There’s no point frittering your hard earned cash away on low-medium strength hands. Even if it is low stake poker you’re playing, to improve your game you must never risk your chips without the right risk:reward ratio.

2. Patience is a virtue. This saying is applicable for so many aspects of life, especially for online poker. When you first join an online poker table, you’ll be asked the question ‘post big blind’ which essentially means you pay a big blind out of turn, allowing you to start getting dealt cards straight away (if you don’t post big blind you wait until the big blind falls on you naturally). Don’t use this function, be patient. Wait until it’s your turn for the big blind and then start playing, staking chips that you don’t need to is a bad idea, it sounds obvious but many poker players post the big blind out of turn.

3. Unleash the beast. Once you’ve involved yourself in a hand, it’s time to engage your second personality. Your first personality should be the tight player, who’s folding a lot of hands and rarely getting involved. Once you’ve involved yourself you must protect those chips, and make sure you win. Time to switch to personality number two, the beast! If it’s your turn to act and no one else has bet, ALWAYS make a continuation bet. The continuation bet is possibly the most consistent way of winning a hand. Even if your opponent has hit a hand and you haven’t, you’ve got a tight image so they will give you respect – and hand over their chips to you.

4. Know thy odds. Maths. That’s essentially what poker is. If you know your chances of hitting a hand which will make you win, you can assess whether any decision will be profitable. Even if your maths fails you on one occasion (someone sucks out on you), you know that over a long period of time the averages will become more and more accurate – you’ll be the winner in the long run.

With poker machines being games of chance and luck, players can be very superstitious when it comes to playing. As such, there are plenty of myths circulating that have skewed many players’ perspectives of pokies.

One of the most popular myths about poker machines is that players can predict when they will win. Many players believe that of they study the sequence of symbols, they can determine a pattern. This is simply not true. Unlike skill games such as poker, there is not amount of studying that can be done in order to help you win while playing pokies. This is important because it means that no players are more likely to win than others. The games operate on a random sequence, so that players cannot determine when the next payout will be.

Players also assume that casinos determine when a particular machine will payout its biggest jackpot. Because games run on random number generators, it is impossible for casinos to rig the outcome of any poker machines. It is also considered illegal for any casino operator to attempt to the fix the outcome of any games, so players should be well-aware that it is highly unlikely for a casino to set the time and date when a player will hit a big jackpot on a poker machine.

Another myths concerns the frequency of pokies’ payouts, assuming that a machine will not pay out a large jackpot if it has already done so recently. Like online pokies, land-based poker machines operate on random number generator software, meaning that there is no way a pokie can time its jackpot payouts. A machine may not payout a jackpot for 6 months, or it could only be 6 days or 6 hours – it is entirely random and a player should not let a recent win prevent them from playing any poker machine.

A common situation that pokie players encounter is seeing the machine they’ve been playing payout a jackpot to the player who sits down after them. They believe that if they have continued playing, they would be the one to hit the jackpot. However, this is not the case. Again, the random number generator dictates the sequence of symbols and the outcome changes with every second that passes. For the first player to hit the same jackpot as the new player, they would have to spin the reels at exactly the same second and place the exact same wager.

These myths can be damaging to avid poker machine players, as they hinder your gameplay experience. It is best to go into a casino and play without any preconceived notions about pokies, so that they can play without anything holding them back.

Be it Omaha, Texas hold ‘em or seven-card stud game, it can’t be denied that poker has become one of the most popular card games today. Online competition is also gaining in popularity as sites such as www.partybingo.com and others are being created. Be it Omaha, Texas hold ‘em or seven-card stud game, it can’t be denied that poker has become one of the most popular card games today. Another variation of poker is the 3 card poker, and aside from Texas hold ‘em, has become the popular poker-based game played in casinos. Before we deal with the rules of the game, let’s look at first how the game was invented.

History of the Game It is said that 3 card poker was invented by Derek Webb in the year 1994. This game had a different name before and was called by other names that are Brit-Brag and Casino Brag. After Webb applied for and was granted patents for the game in the United States and United Kingdom, he began marketing 3 card poker using Prime Table Games.

Marketing continued up until 1999 until a company bought the rights to the game. Shuffle Master Incorporated reached a deal with Prime Table Games and they got exclusive rights to 3 card poker outside of the British Isles. In 2002, the gambling regulations department allowed the game to be played.

Rules of the Game

The playing table for poker is usually setup with three betting sections namely ante, play and pairs plus. Players, first place bet on the ante section, wherein they can also opt to place a pairs plus wagers. After the players placed their bets, the dealer then deals each player three cards, thus the name 3 card poker.

Play here is against the dealer and not against other players. After receiving three cards, player must then decide to bet or to fold, where bet must be equal or greater than the initial ante bet.

The dealer’s hand is only valid when it has a queen or better card. When the dealer has a queen drawn, he compares the cards to those who have not folded and decides which hand is better. If the dealer has no queen, the players who have not folded automatically win. In 3 card poker, a straight flush is the best hand, next is the three-of-a-kind, then the straight, followed by a flush, a pair and lastly the high card hand.

Strategy and Odds

tri card poker is among the easiest casino game because you only have three cards to compare. Just like other poker games, there is no exact way to ensure a win. However, the simplest strategy to beat 3 card poker is to bet when your cards on hand is better than Queen-6-4.

tri card poker was designed to give a slight house edge which means that if you are really a player, you won’t mind playing anywhere. But there are those that play where the odds are good and this depends on the table payout. Play only on the tri card poker table that has a large payout for flush and straight. That way you can increase your chances of winning and will not be affected by the slight house edge that exists in the game.

In the game of poker you need to be able to adapt your strategy as needed while playing the game. Think of it like shifting gears in a car you change gear to adapt to the speed and terrain you are driving on – the same applies to the game of poker. Being able to adapt is one of the most crucial skills you can learn and use to your advantage. Lets back up a bit and explain why it’s so important so you can judge for yourself the necessity of adapting. In any poker game the situation is always changing – you will be dealt different hands and so will your opponents, you will bet differently and so will your opponents and perhaps most importantly your opponents will always be changing so the game will never be the same twice. Being able to adapt means altering your mindset to fit the particular game you are playing and the players you are playing with – as the situation changes you need to be able to adapt accordingly if you expect to make money with poker.

Now you may be thinking you have a strategy that always works, maybe it’s a “style” you like to play, a certain attitude you like to portray? If this is the case then why adapt to each new game? There are two primary reasons why you may need to adapt your play the first is exploiting certain circumstances you may be faced with. For example, lets say you are playing a game of online Texas Holdem and you are dealt a hand that would normally be an automatic fold for you. The difference this time is that the only person on the table who has bet has a strong tendency towards bluffing – this might be a golden opportunity for you to adapt to a situation and play to your potential benefit knowing the information.

The second reason you may need to adapt your play is so you don’t become predictable (like the player that always bluffs in the above example). Being difficult for other players to read is a huge advantage in any poker game – why give your opponents any advantage over you? If your moves can be predicted then you will have a pattern that your opponents will learn to follow and capitalize on as they counter your moves. It won’t take long for other players to learn when to call, raise or fold when playing with you no matter what hand is dealt. If you are willing to adapt to the situation at hand then you become less likely to predict and other players won’t be able to take advantage of any holes in your game.

While the above are the primary reasons for adapting play there are a few other advantages. This may seem obvious but you should be adjusting your play based on how you are doing in a particular game. The obvious being if your bankroll is running low you should tighten up your play in order to protect your chips. And vice versa is true – if your bankroll is looking rather healthy then maybe you should use that to your advantage as an intimidation tactic. You can often steal blinds by making large bets. And to state the obvious – if you have the right cards and you are making large bets then you stand a good chance of taking down chips even if you’re called you still could win the hand.

The final piece of advice I have to share about adapting to play is based on who you are playing with and the number of players you are playing against. The concept is simple, the number of opponents you are playing against will impact the odds of winning your hand. Simple math – your odds will change depending on how many players are in the pot one, two, three, etc. Who you are playing against is also very important – the expertise and habits of your opponents should play a factor in how you adapt to play. Try and identify patterns of play – are they an aggressive or reserved player? Do they have a tendency for bluffing? Is there a pattern to their betting? And any other tell factors you may pick up on and use to your advantage.

I hope this article helped you see all the beneficial ways that being able to adapt play can mean the difference between winning or losing. Flexibility is important when playing poker – especially online as your opponents can change more frequently. Learn to adapt and you will stay ahead of the competition, if you don’t then it will be difficult to make money with poker playing online. It’s evolution – the poker players that adapt will survive and profit.

Gambling is one of the most popular recreational pursuits in the world and millions of people love a good game of poker, both in real casinos and the online variety, but if you are out to win, what are the best tips for winning at Texas holdem poker tournaments?

Playing poker successfully is a skill not everybody bothers to learn: some people are happy to play poker for the thrill of the game and they do not care whether they win or lose. But the rest of us are in it for the money and learning how to win Texas holdem tournaments is something we want to master!

There are many useful tips for winning at no limit Texas holdem tournaments and even if you only use a few, you are still certain to improve your chances of winning a decent pot of money.

Tips for how to win at Texas holdem tournaments:

- Play tight: instead of playing every hand, maximise your chances of winning big by only playing when you have a good hand and folding when you do not.

- Start low: while you are learning how the game works, play for the lowest stakes possible, that way it will not matter as much if you lose more than you win. Besides, many of the lower stake tables can be just as profitable.

- Learn the rules: it may seem obvious, but many newbie poker players do not bother to learn the rules of the game and dive straight in expecting to win. Do your research and watch a few games before you have a go yourself.

- Pay attention to the other players: always be aware of what the other players in your game are doing -staying ahead of the action will give you extra information and help you win at Texas holdem poker.

- Learn from your experiences: every time you play Texas holdem poker, you are building on your experience and over time your skill will grow and you will make better game decisions.

How to get to the final table at Texas holdem poker:

Getting to the final table in Texas holdem poker games requires discipline, focus, and a fair amount of lady luck. By this stage, you should be careful with your chips and try to avoid speculating against the big players unless you have a large stack of chips to back up your game. Finally, be aggressive and play not just to crawl to the money – but to win!

After playing, studying, watching and reading poker for the past 18 months, I decided to create The Poker Zoo – an international social network for poker enthusiasts.

At the Poker Zoo you can add your profile, learn poker tips and strategy from our articles, share videos, add forthcoming events and get news of live international poker tournaments, chat to friends and other members, blog, upload photos and much more.

You wouldn’t think that a cut-throat world such as online poker – where everyone is anonymous and out to get one another’s money – has anything resembling unwritten rules or protocols. At lower stakes, this is certainly true.

Players come and go, rarely encountering one another again, and have no incentive to be polite or help one another out. As the stakes get higher, unwritten rules and agreements between players are commonplace, and none more-so than the high stakes heads up tables.

At higher stakes, players can be loosely divided into two categories. The regulars (regs), who often play for a living and play a solid, mathematically sound game. The other group are the fish, who are recreational players, usually just playing for fun and excitement, with many holes and leaks in their game.

On any poker site, at the higher stakes heads up tables, you’ll often see one player sitting waiting at a table on his own. You can bet your bottom dollar this is a reg waiting in anticipation of a fish wandering in to relieve him of his money. Regs will avoid one another even if they think they have an edge over each other. This is because any edges that regs have over each other will be small, and games usually result in just passing money back and forward.

Because there are only a certain amount of heads-up tables on a site, some regs will sit at every table, refusing to play other regs. This results in him taking up every table and not allowing any other regs to get a game. If this happens, other regs will “block” his tables by sitting with him but refusing to play. This stops both players from getting a game, but there has to be a penalty for any player who thinks he can monopolise all empty tables waiting on a fish.

Most regs work out some agreement, however, where they all sit at a few tables each and take their chances who the fish sit with. Any reg thought to be taking more than their share will end up getting all their tables blocked.

Other unwritten rules are “don’t tap the aquarium” – ie, don’t scare the fish. Don’t berate a fish for his bad play and don’t abuse them in the chat box. All that does is humiliate them into leaving or improving their game, which hurts the regs bottom line. Just tell him he’s unlucky and allow him to let off steam in the chatbox if he wants to.

Ring games (6 seat or 9 seat tables) have their own unwritten rules, but if you ever open a poker site and see 20 high stakes heads-up tables with just one player sitting, that’s the reason.
